Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced Insulator for McIntosh, AL. You will layout, fabricate, install and repair insulation and sheet metal around pipes, equipment and systems at client sites.

The role requires 3+ years of insulator experience, ability to work on-site with PPE, and a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment screening and safety compliance are mandatory, with strict attention to safety, quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 years of insulator experience required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights with required PPE.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, assemble, install and repair insulation and sheet metal around pipes, fittings and equipment.
• Install temp mat and pads and install pipe covering and fittings (Calcium Silicate).
• Form sheet metal around pipes, ductwork and industrial equipment.
• Install insulation and fittings, pipe cover and board materials such as perlite and calcium silicate.
• Use hand tools to form, crimp, or roll metal on site and ensure weather protection.
