Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Insulator for full-time work at our Texas City facility. You will read blueprints, select and apply insulation materials on air ducts, tanks, boilers, and piping, and work at heights to ensure temperature control and noise reduction.

Required: NCCER, TWIC, and Driver’s License; 3-5 years journeyman experience; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; strong attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Certifications/ Licenses: NCCER, TWIC and Driver’s License
• Experience: 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and selects required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form).
• Using tape measure or other measuring device, measure and cut insulation material to size and shape.
• Fit, wrap or attach insulation material around structures following blueprint specs.
• Cover or seal insulation with covers, tape, or caulking gun to secure insulation.
