Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Industrial Insulator for on-site work in McIntosh, AL. You will layout, fabricate, install, and repair insulation and sheet metal around pipes, equipment, and systems.

The role requires at least 3 years of insulator experience, the ability to install calcium silicate materials, and strict adherence to safety and PPE standards on industrial sites. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of insulator experience.
• Ability to install temp mat and pipe coverings (Calcium Silicate).
• Experience forming sheet metal around pipes and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, assemble, install and repair insulation and sheet metal around pipes, equipment, and systems.
• Install insulation and fittings, pipe cover and board materials such as perlite and calcium silicate.
• Create flat sheet metal layouts for transitions and accessories.
• Brush adhesives and mastic application to insulation material.
• Measure and cut metal for covering surfaces with tape measure.
• Work with hand tools and equipment to form, crimp, or roll metal; wear PPE.
