Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrument Technician to install, calibrate, diagnose, and repair control valves, instruments, and electronic equipment across distributed control systems. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, collaboration with operators, vendors, and technicians, and ensuring safe, reliable operations 24/7.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of troubleshooting as an instrumentation technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment or Associates Degree in Instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Working a rotating shift schedule.
Performing and documenting maintenance calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, repair of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
Maintaining and operating PLC/DCS and computer workstations to keep the plant running smoothly.
Reading and interpreting manuals, schematics, and P&ID’s.
Documenting and maintaining equipment history for reliability tracking.
