Job summary
Air Products in Texas City, TX is seeking an experienced Instrument & Electrical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, analytical and electrical equipment up to 13.8 KV. You will work with Operators, Mechanics and Engineering to sustain safe, reliable operations at our large-scale facility.
The role requires reading electrical drawings, PLC/DCS knowledge, hands-on repair, SAP/CMMS experience, and a strong safety focus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with instrumentation and electrical equipment in an industrial setting preferred.
- Trade, technical degree or apprenticeship is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, analytical and electrical equipment up to 13.8 KV.
- Read and interpret technical drawings (electrical drawings, schematics, P&ID, equipment drawings).
- Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate plant instrumentation and electrical controls.
- Work with Operations, Mechanics and Engineering to maintain safe, reliable plant operations.
- Assist in commissioning of new plants and during shutdowns as required.
