Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to maintain process control systems and support the plant team in safe, efficient operations.

You will calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instruments and control systems, work with electricians and engineers, and participate in continuous improvement efforts. The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, an electrical license or certification, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a science related discipline or equivalent with 3 years of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or GED with 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Electrical license or equivalent certification or training.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays if required.
• Must hold a current valid US driver's license.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Apply prior related experience or vocational training to ensure safe operation of assigned plant areas.
• Spec out, requisition, and install parts and equipment for small projects.
• Scope electrical, instrumentation, and DCS requirements for capital projects.
• Set up, calibrate, test, and repair controls and instruments (pneumatic, electrical, electronic).
• Perform field checks and instrument calibrations per Master Task List.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and coordinate with team members.
• Perform instrumentation troubleshooting, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Use process knowledge to improve plant performance and operating discipline.
• Contribute to Root Cause Investigations and incident response.
• Demonstrate safety culture and complete training per plan.
