Job summary

Dow is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician for our Freeport, Texas facility. You will share responsibility for implementing the IH management system and provide hands-on IH activities to meet business objectives and maintain the license to operate.

Key duties include performing IH monitoring, risk assessments for chemicals, noise, and ergonomics, coaching teams, and coordinating audits with Health & Safety resources. Strong English, safety focus, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• US work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: 2+ years in manufacturing/EHS or an associate degree or military training/experience.
• Experience in hearing conservation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement IH programs using the IH work process, standards and procedures.
• Act as IH resource for procedures, guidelines and standards.
• Conduct employee exposure risk assessments for chemicals, noise, ergonomics, radiation, etc.
• Coach teams on IH tasks and monitor IH performance goals.
• Coordinate IH audits and IH-related reviews and projects.
