Job summary

Dow is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician at our Freeport, Texas facility to support the IH management system and perform hands-on IH activities.

The role involves implementing IH programs, conducting exposure assessments for chemicals, noise, and ergonomics, and coordinating IH monitoring with Health & Safety teams. A HS diploma and US work authorization are required; 2+ years in manufacturing/EHS preferred. This position offers growth through training and collaboration across sites.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and US work authorization.
• Preferred: 2+ years in manufacturing and/or Environmental, Health & Safety fields; associate's degree or 3+ years military experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements IH programs and procedures.
• Performs and documents employee exposure risk assessments for chemicals, noise, ergonomics, radiation, and other IH items.
• Coordinates IH monitoring with plant H&S teams and ensures timely equipment management.
• Acts as plant IH resource for procedures, guidelines and standards.
• Coordinates audits and investigations as required.
