Job summary

Dow is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician in Freeport, Texas to support the IH program and perform hands-on IH activities to help meet business objectives while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will implement IH procedures, conduct exposure assessments for chemicals, noise, ergonomics, and radiation; coach teams; and coordinate monitoring. A high school diploma and U.S. work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required to work in the U.S.
• Associate's degree or three years of relevant military training preferred.
• Experience in hearing conservation is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Implements IH programs and maintains IH standards in the plant.
• Performs and documents employee exposure risk assessments (chemicals, noise, ergonomics, radiation).
• Acts as Plant resource for IH information and guidance.
• Coordinate IH routine and non‑routine monitoring and report results.
• Manage IH monitoring equipment and schedule calibrations.
• Coach teams on IH tasks and drive area IH goals.
• Ensure compliance tasks are completed and audits are coordinated.
• Participate in IH reviews and project work as needed.
• Collaborate with IH experts and Health Services for medical surveillance.
