We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene Technician to participate in asbestos, lead, mold, and universal waste project monitoring and air sampling assignments in the New York metro area.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing air monitoring for asbestos abatement, lead, and mold remediation activities.
• Investigating indoor air quality and water intrusion events.
• Conducting site health & safety inspections.
• Performing routine site inspections, collecting samples, and creating reports according to protocols.
• Developing reports, memos, and documentation for project review.
• Coordinating with management, contractors, and sub-contractors, and managing site meetings and schedules.

Minimum requirements:

• High School diploma required.
• At least 2 years of experience in asbestos, lead paint, IAQ, water intrusion/mold, or related fields preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Certifications such as EPA AHERA, NYSDOL Mold Assessor, Lead Risk Assessors, or NYCDEP Asbestos Investigator are preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office and applicable regulations.
• Willingness to travel within NY area.
• Ability to pass physical exams and wear respirators.
• Availability for occasional night or weekend work.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in physical sciences, industrial hygiene, safety, or environmental sciences preferred.
• Additional certifications like OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER are a plus.
• Experience in construction management and health & safety oversight is advantageous.

Annual salary: $35 - $40/hour, commensurate with experience and certifications.
