We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene Technician for asbestos, lead, mold, and universal waste project assignments in the New York metro area.

Responsibilities

1. Perform air monitoring during asbestos abatement, lead, and mold remediation.
2. Investigate indoor air quality and water intrusion events.
3. Conduct site health & safety inspections.
4. Perform inspections, collect samples, and prepare reports per state and federal protocols.
5. Develop reports, memos, and documentation for project management.
6. Coordinate with management, contractors, and subcontractors, including site meetings and project scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• At least 2 years of experience in asbestos, lead paint, IAQ, mold, or related industrial hygiene projects preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Certifications such as EPA AHERA, NYSDOL, NJ/EPA/NY Lead, or NYCDEP as applicable.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
• Willingness to travel within NY area.
• Ability to pass physical exam and respirator fit test.
• Availability for occasional night/weekend work and extended shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment drug testing required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in physical sciences, industrial hygiene, or related fields.
• Additional asbestos and HAZWOPER certifications.
• Experience in environmental and safety oversight, construction management, and other IH-related work.
