GEM Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Professional to lead comprehensive IH programs at our Oak Ridge, TN site.

You will identify, assess, and mitigate exposures across chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards, and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOE, and related standards. You will conduct air and noise exposure surveys, maintain records, and collaborate with engineering and operations to implement effective controls, while delivering training and leading incident

Formación

• Requires background in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Experience in ES&H with IH focus, preferably in manufacturing, lab, or energy sectors.
• Hands-on air monitoring, noise dosimetry, IH instrumentation, and sampling methods.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain comprehensive IH programs to identify, assess, and mitigate exposures.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments and IH surveys.
• Maintain exposure records and recommend controls (engineering, administrative, PPE).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOE, and other regulations and standards (ACGIH TLVs, NIOSH RELs).
• Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and reporting; serve as SME during inspections.
• Develop and deliver IH training on chemical safety, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and hazard communication.
• Educate employees and leaders on hazards and safe work practices; participate in incident investigations.
• Perform risk assessments and JHAs; partner with operations to integrate IH into design and changes.
• Lead CI initiatives to improve safety culture and reduce health risks; advise on PPE selection.
