Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced industrial HVAC/R Technician to join our Facility operations & maintenance team in Mossville, IL. The role focuses on responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment in an industrial setting.

Successful candidates will bring strong mechanical and electrical skills, EPA Universal certification, and the ability to work safely with 480V systems.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as an HVAC maintenance technician in an industrial environment.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift up to 30 feet or higher.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Pass pre-employment substance abuse test.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on facility and process equipment.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs HVAC equipment including AHUs, pumps, fans, and chillers.
• Uses building automation system to monitor conditions and energy usage.
• Operates CMMS for scheduling and work orders.
• Adheres to safety guidelines including lockout/tagout and PPE.
