Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma; college experience preferred.
• 2–4 years customer service or in-store sales experience.
• Industry knowledge: hardgoods, welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas, and medical gas.
• Hands-on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently and flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with regional customers and sales staff.
• Handle calls, correct order issues, process orders and cancellations.
• Provide specialty gas/supplies sales and support to customers and outside sales team.
• Use business software to retrieve customer data, verify inventory, and process orders.
• Verify customer credit status and issue credits or debits.
• Provide quotes to sales and management within set parameters.
• Suggest additional products and services to meet customer needs.
• Build relationships with internal Linde customers and meet call center metrics.
