Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Customer Solutions Specialist to manage regional customer relationships and support the outside sales team.

You will process sales orders, confirm shipment dates, handle cancellations, and provide specialty gas and supplies sales support to customers and internal teams. Strong computer skills and excellent communication are required, with independent, flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; college or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2–4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience.
• Prior industry experience with hardgoods, welding, industrial gas, specialty gas and medical gas is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries is preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with regional customers and sales staff by handling calls and resolving issues.
• Process sales orders and changes, confirm shipment dates, and handle cancellations.
• Provide specialty gas/supplies sales and support to customers and the outside sales team.
• Use business software to retrieve customer information, verify inventory, and process orders.
• Verify customer credit status and complete paperwork for credits or debits.
• Provide quotes and assistance to sales force and management within set parameters.
• Suggest additional products and services to meet customer needs and follow pricing guidelines.
