Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a Combustion Technician responsible for electrical, instrumentation, and combustion system support for maintenance and operation of industrial furnaces. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and cost-effective production in a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, inspections, calibrations, temperature surveys, and maintaining furnace-related electrical systems. AAS/AS degree and 2 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant electrical and/or instrumentation experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand control logic, flow diagrams, instrument loops and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical, instrumentation, and combustion system support for maintenance, operation and quality control of industrial furnaces.
• Conduct furnace temperature surveys and system accuracy tests; troubleshoot and calibrate as needed.
