Job summary

Carpenter Technology is seeking a skilled HVAC technician in Alabama to repair, maintain, and install refrigeration and air conditioning systems across an industrial environment. You will diagnose issues, perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensure equipment runs efficiently.

The role requires lifting, climbing, and collaborating with engineering and supervision. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a 2+ year HVAC background, an Alabama HVAC license, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent education and maintenance experience.
• Licensed through Alabama Board of Heating and Air Conditioning.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant HVAC experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with refrigeration equipment, air conditioning units, ventilation units, heating units including gas hot water heaters, and installation of HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain refrigeration equipment, air conditioning units, ventilation units, heating units including gas hot water heaters.
• Install HVAC equipment and perform wiring, piping, and related mechanical work where feasible.
• Test units after repair and ensure they operate at maximum efficiency.
• Record job and time information on work orders and PM sheets.
• Provide technical assistance to Engineering in design, repair, or improvement of equipment.
