Job summary

Group-Contractors is seeking an experienced Industrial Form Carpenter to design, construct, erect, install, and repair structures using wood and related materials. You will read blueprints, prepare forms, lay out anchor bolts, and build forms and chutes for concrete at outdoor industrial sites.

The role requires 3+ years of field experience, NCCER Industrial Carpentry Certification, and the ability to perform precise measurements and layout.

Qualifications

• This role requires 3+ years of field experience as a Class-A Industrial Form Carpenter.
• Experience reading blueprints/drawings and performing math calculations.
• Ability to follow safety rules and maintain site discipline.
• Must possess NCCER Industrial Carpentry Certification or willingness to test.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints?sketches or building plans and determine material needs.
• Select and transport appropriate materials and tools for each job.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials.
• Shape materials to prescribed dimensions using saws, chisels, and planes.
• Assemble cut pieces and secure with nails, glue, or pins.
• Brace forms for concrete piers, footings, and walls; install batter boards.
• Construct forms and chutes for concrete; ensure trueness with plumb bob and level.
• Operate survey equipment to verify accuracy; perform basic surveys.
• Assist Project Superintendent as needed; may perform light admin tasks.
