Job summary

AIS Infrastructure is seeking a Concrete Form Carpenter to build and install forms for heavy civil construction projects. You will read drawings, measure and set elevations, and coordinate with crews to ensure precise forms for pours.

The role requires 3–5 years of field experience with formwork in commercial or industrial settings, attention to safety, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Training and OSHA standards apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years as a Form Carpenter or Concrete Carpenter on heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specs and layout information.
• Knowledge of concrete forming techniques, materials, and practices.
• Ability to measure, lay out, and verify grades, elevations, dimensions and alignment.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and construction equipment.
• Ability to work in a safety-conscious team environment and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, align, brace, and strip concrete forms for footings, foundations, walls, columns, beams, slabs, bridges, and others.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and layout information.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood, plywood, and forming materials using hand and power tools.
• Set and verify form elevations, grades, alignment, and dimensions for accurate pours.
• Install form ties, braces, embeds, and other forming components as required.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, equipment operators, and crews to complete daily work.
• Assist with concrete placement to keep forms aligned and secure during pours.
• Strip, clean, and prepare formwork for reuse; maintain a safe work area.
