Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department seeks an experienced fire service professional for a leadership role in Cameron County, TX. The Chief Officer will plan, organize and direct the business unit as part of a customer’s industrial fire brigade, with responsibilities including hiring, firing, and overall P&L management.

The role may require duties as regular field staff and entails driving profitability, market growth, and compliance with company policies across the assigned area.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from a two-year college or university, or 10 years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to develop annual operating plans with clearly defined objectives and target markets.
• Proven and consistent track record for meeting and exceeding P&L targets.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed budgeted operating profit objectives in area assigned.
• Drive increased market share by supporting objectives for conversion, penetration, and retention.
• Visit all direct reports daily and manage site operations and acquisitions as assigned.
• Coach and develop supervisory team to achieve revenue, profit, and expense goals.
• Maintain relationships with local municipalities and political leaders.
