Job summary

RuralMetro Fire seeks an Industrial Fire Lieutenant with a passion for firefighting and a commitment to a positive, collaborative work environment. The role directs and coordinates shift activities, ensuring fire/EMS support, and safety on incidents including structural fires and Hazmat scenarios.

The position emphasizes leadership, training, and adherence to department policies, with a focus on maintaining readiness and a professional image for the client.

Qualifications

• Valid state Driver’s License; DUI within last 5 years is disqualifying.
• Current NFPA 1001 Firefighter I with Hazardous Materials-Operations.
• Current Advanced – EMT certification.
• Current CPR/AED.
• Completion of NIMS IC S-100, 200, 700, and 800 at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of an assigned shift.
• Ensure fire/EMS support for controlling and extinguishing fires; rescue operations.
• Respond to medical aid calls, vehicle accidents, and Hazmat incidents.
• Provide leadership, supervise personnel, and maintain discipline per department policies.
• Contribute to daily training, inspections, and CQI initiatives.
