Job summary

Sagent LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to service, calibrate, and maintain grocery store equipment in the Kansas City region. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, customer-facing skills, and the ability to travel within the territory.

You will perform on-site repairs, installations, and PM on weighing and wrapping equipment, with opportunities to assist in complex installations as proficiency grows.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical discipline or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with installing, repairing, or servicing processor-controlled or PC-based equipment.
• 5+ years in engineering, electronics, instrumentation, IT, or electromechanical repair preferred.
• 1–3 years electro-mechanical repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repairs, installations, calibrations, and PM on customer equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and PC-based issues; conduct module-level diagnostics.
• Configure, network, and troubleshoot wired and wireless devices.
• Communicate findings and next steps clearly to customers and teams.
• Travel within the service territory; participate in on-call rotation; maintain timekeeping and documentation.
