Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is hiring a Field Service Technician in Los Angeles, CA, with 60% travel. You will troubleshoot, align, and calibrate industrial bandsaws and related equipment to ensure optimal performance for customers.

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on maintenance, a related degree, and knowledge of hydraulic, electric, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Sales experience in industrial settings is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of equipment maintenance and repair and/or hands-on experience in a shop production environment or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electric, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Solve end-user problems through troubleshooting minor repairs, alignment, and calibration of equipment, as well as product performance and trial tests to achieve optimum product performance.
• Coordinate with Territory Account Manager(s) to manage your territory, develop target opportunities, and handle service/maintenance requests for existing customers.
• Utilize SFDC to collect and maintain data about products, machines, materials, end users, and distribution for both Lenox and competitive accounts.
• Stay updated on industry trends by attending trade shows and seminars and learning about innovative technology.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot distributor welding equipment.
• Motivate distributors and keep distributor sales personnel focused on technical services as a value-added service when selling.
• Identify end-user applications to provide cost-effective product recommendations that improve customer quality of process for sawing operations.
• Coordinate and implement technical product and application solutions that extend value to customers, consumers, and sales representatives.
