Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join the Stud Welding team. This remote position requires supporting the Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky area with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an electrical/electronic equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience with robot/PLC interfacing including basic ladder logic.
• Basic understanding of safety circuits and commissioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Make field service calls both locally and out of state at times with little advance notice.
• Diagnoses and repairs equipment to component level using various test equipment.
• Records service reports and updates plant inventory after visitations.

Skills

Electrical / electronic equipment troubleshooting

Robot / PLC interfacing

Troubleshooting at an intermediate level

Knowledge of mechanical components (Pneumatics, Weld heads, feeders, spindles)

Education

Electronic technology degree or equivalent

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree desirable
