Job summary

Elgen Staffing represents a nationwide manufacturer seeking an experienced Field Service Technician in Los Angeles to service and repair commercial machinery on-site. You will travel as needed to customer sites and support installations.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of field service experience or equivalent technical training, strong PLC/HMI and electronics knowledge, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers. Familiarity with Windows and Salesforce Lightning is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related field service experience or equivalent certified training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and represent the company.
• Knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CNC turning centers (sliding headstock lathes) is a plus.
• Proficient with Windows and Salesforce Lightning.

Responsibilities

• Travel and be on the road, as needed, up to 50%.
• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repairs of industrial machinery.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement solutions.

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial machinery, has an immediate need for an experienced Field Service Technician, to join our winning team in Los Angeles.

Our candidate of choice will be a self-starter, who is willing to travel as needed and be on the road at least 50% of the time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

• Related service technician experience of two through five years or equivalent certified technical training on industrial equipment that utilizes PLC/HMI driven motion control.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and professionally represent the company are critical requirements.
• The person with proven knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CNC turning centers, specifically sliding headstock lathes, is a plus.
• Must possess above average computer skills and be able to use Windows and other software packages such as Salesforce Lightning.
