Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Ozark, AL is seeking a maintenance technician to service mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems in our feed mill. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and read blueprints to ensure equipment operates within specifications.

Under minimal supervision, you will identify root causes, perform welding/fabrication and basic pipefitting, and assist with safety compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in industrial machinery maintenance and repair.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings and schematics.
Intermediate math and computer skills.
Ability to operate/use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to comprehend and communicate in English.
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated.
Ability to work nights, weekends and extended hours.
Must wear PPE and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, conveyors, pumps, steam and electrical systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
Identify root causes and repairs using welding, fabrication, basic pipefitting and electrical/process control knowledge.
Notify appropriate personnel if further attention is required.
Assist with maintaining blueprints and operating manuals.
Train entry level employees as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
