Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC seeks an experienced maintenance technician to assist in the repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems in a poultry processing plant. You will read blueprints and schematics to keep equipment within spec and tolerances, perform testing and inspections, and troubleshoot issues.

Must pass NOCTI Level 1 and have 1+ year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 1 required.
Minimum 1 year experience in industrial machine predictive and preventative maintenance.
Intermediate math and computer skills.
Ability to operate/use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery using blueprints and schematic drawings to ensure equipment is performing safely to required specifications.
Identify root causes and perform repairs (welding, fabricating, pipefitting) or replace defective components.
Identify unsafe conditions and correct them; escalate when needed.
Maintain blueprints and operating manuals as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and laws.
All other duties as assigned.
