Job summary

WorkCare in Guymon, OK is seeking an Athletic Trainer to deliver industrial injury prevention services focused on total worker health within OSHA first aid guidelines. You will work at designated service centers, supporting a meat processing facility.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with responsibilities spanning triage, education, ergonomic analysis, and injury case coordination to keep workers healthy and productive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, first-aid, education or escalation of care as needed.
• Coordinate with all parties managing an injury case and communicate updates.
• Support injured employees, monitor care, and assist in accident investigations.
• Assist in finding temporary modified work within physical restrictions.
• Conduct ergonomic analyses and provide workstation/vehicle setup recommendations.
• Provide on-the-job education to improve body mechanics and posture.
• Promote lifestyle improvements in nutrition, fitness, and stress management.
• Develop job-specific agility and Work Hardening programs.
• Maintain records of triage, assessments, first-aid, and education.
