Job summary

A&H Equipment Co. is seeking a Service Technician to repair customers’ equipment, apply strong mechanical knowledge, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Reports to the Service Manager and maintains professionalism with customers and team.

The standard shift is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with overtime available. Responsibilities include diagnosing systems, installing parts, performing safety inspections, operating a forklift, and welding as needed to support service operations and contracts.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED. Vo-tech/vocational schooling is encouraged.
• 1+ year in a service technician role is preferred but not required.
• Driver’s license may be required for company-related travel.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• General knowledge of computers and service systems is expected.
• Class B CDL preferred; willingness to obtain if not held.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Install parts and add-ons per specifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment functionality and operation.
• Perform safety inspections on equipment.
• Operate forklift with required certification.
• Weld and fabricate in shop to support service operations.
• Assist with customer-related issues including quotes and status updates.
• Maintain excellent customer service.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Complete paperwork for contracts, clients, and SOPs.
• Pursue CBT training and manufacturer certifications as needed.
