Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is seeking an Industrial Equipment Reliability Technician to maintain automated manufacturing equipment and ensure peak performance across North America. You will perform TPM checks, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and support continuous improvement projects on Robotic Welder, Press Brake, and other machinery.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related technical schooling preferred.
• Background in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; automation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform TPM checks to maximize machine uptime and OEE.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems quickly.
• Read manuals and blueprints to plan repairs and preventive work.
• Program, adjust, and troubleshoot automation including robots and PLCs.
• Install and commission new machinery and support continuous improvements.
• Use hand/power tools, meters, and lifting equipment safely.
• Follow OSHA and internal safety standards at all times.
• Assist supervisor with additional tasks as needed.

What You’ll Do (A Night in the Life)

• Begin with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) checks to maximize machine uptime and OEE
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with speed and precision
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints to plan repairs and preventative work
• Program, adjust, and troubleshoot automation—robots, controls, and PLCs—keeping production stable
• Install and commission new machinery; partner on continuous machine improvements
• Use hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively
• Follow OSHA and internal safety standards every step of the way
• Tackle additional tasks assigned by your supervisor as needs evolve

What You Bring

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Background in industrial maintenance, a related technical field, or technical schooling
• Strength in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; automation experience is a big plus
• Comfort with standard preventive maintenance routines
• Hands-on skill with hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and appropriate PPE
• Metalworking know-how: cutting, welding, drilling, and tapping
• Working knowledge of PLCs and relay logic; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; electrical distribution and LOTO
• Experience with air compressor maintenance is helpful
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and lift/move up to 50 lbs
