Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator Craftsman to operate power construction equipment across road and right-of-way projects. You will load, grade, and move materials while maintaining safety and quality standards, and you may train others in proper operation.

The role requires physical stamina to work on varied surfaces, exposure to outdoor conditions, and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Prior power plant/industrial experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Equipment Operator Craftsman in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or several types of power construction equipment to excavate, move and/or grade material.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication on equipment.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and tools.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
