Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an experienced construction equipment operator to operate various types of power construction equipment for excavation, loading and grading tasks. The role involves maintaining equipment, performing road and right-of-way work, and ensuring safety across all operations.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with supervision.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant field experience preferred
Strong ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Ability to communicate effectively with supervision and management
Proficient use of electrical, hand, power, layout, and measurement tools

Responsibilities

Operate power construction equipment to excavate, move and grade material
Load, haul and dump on roads/rights-of-way on varying surfaces
Grade roads, spread rock and gravel, and trench for culverts and pipes
Inspect equipment and maintain fluid levels and lubrication
Instruct and train others in safe operation and techniques as needed
Inspect and identify defects in equipment, structures, or materials; take corrective action
Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs and resources required
Review subordinate work for contract compliance and quality
