Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks an intermediate Heavy Equipment Operator to operate power construction equipment, excavate, and grade materials on road projects. The role involves loading, hauling, and maintaining equipment outdoors across varied surfaces.

Responsibilities include instructing others in safe operation, inspecting equipment for defects, and performing routine maintenance. Candidates should be capable of working overtime and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Able to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions with effective communication with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• May require willingness to learn and train others on equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate power construction equipment to excavate, move and grade material.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication of equipment.
• May train other employees in safe operation and techniques.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify defects.
