Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator Journeyman to operate power construction equipment, excavate, move and grade material on industrial sites. You will follow safety standards and communicate with supervision to ensure smooth operations.

Key duties include loading gravel and sand, trenching for pipes, inspecting equipment, training staff, estimating time and resources, and ensuring compliance with contract plans.

Qualifications

• Experience as Equipment Operator Journeyman in a Power Plant/Industrial setting.
• Must possess strong working knowledge of operating equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Inspect equipment and ensure fluid levels and lubrication are maintained.
• May train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and tools and job techniques.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specifications and address deficiencies.
