Job summary

The LEGO Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a High Bay Automation Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, PLC, and robotics systems, and support installation, testing and startup activities.

Responsibilities include documenting actions in the CMMS, conducting root-cause analysis, mentoring maintenance staff, and contributing to TPM, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, with occasional international

Qualifications

Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechanics, or a related technical field.
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated industrial equipment in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or similar environments.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.
Reading electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
Capable of heights up to 40 meters; heights rescue training provided.
Willing to travel internationally up to three weeks annually for training/ support.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, robotics, and automation systems.
Diagnose equipment issues using PLC software, HMIs, industrial networks, electrical schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
Document maintenance activities and corrective actions within the CMMS.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and startup activities.
Train and mentor maintenance team members and contribute to TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives.
