Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Computer Skills: knowledge of internet software.
• Certificates & Licenses: valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Language: ability to read and interpret documents and communicate clearly.
• Math: ability to perform basic arithmetic and unit conversions.
• Reasoning: ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Work Environment: varies from office to job site and industrial locations.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders and listens to trucks in operation to diagnose problems.
• Offers solutions and provides estimates when appropriate.
• Makes mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Records repair descriptions with model, serial number, and hour meter readings.
• Gathers customer signatures and communicates repair needs or completion.
• Inspects guards, bolts, and safety devices and makes adjustments.
• Lubricates moving parts and tests repaired trucks for conformance.
• Represents Equipment Depot and maintains professional appearance of vehicle.
• Schedules with operations or service manager for routine maintenance.
• Maintains safety and protects customers, company, and the public.
• Submits time cards daily; reports to service administrator if dispatched from home.
