Job summary

Equipment Depot Inc. seeks a service technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline trucks and equipment. You will read work orders, diagnose issues, and perform mechanical repairs after inspection, recording details with model, serial numbers, and hour readings.

You will obtain customer signatures, communicate repair needs, inspect safety devices, lubricate parts, and drive the repaired unit to verify conformance. You represent the company professionally.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders and observes the truck to diagnose problems.
• Obtains signature from customers and communicates repair needs.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders and observes truck in operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Makes mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Records repair descriptions with model, serial number, and hour meter.
• Obtains customer signature and communicates repair status.
• Inspects guards, loose bolts, and safety devices; makes adjustments.
• Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired truck to verify conformance.
• Represents Equipment Depot to customers and maintains professional image.
• Tracks and schedules routine maintenance with operations or service manager.
• Returns paperwork (work orders, fuel receipts, sublet invoices) daily.
• Submits time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily.
