Job summary

Equipment Depot Inc. is seeking a technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, record detailed work orders, and communicate findings with customers.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of internet software.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Language: Ability to read & interpret safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions; write routine reports; speak before groups.
• Math: Basic arithmetic including rates, ratios and percents.
• Reasoning: Apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and observe the truck to diagnose malfunctions.
• Provide solutions and estimates when appropriate.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Record repair descriptions with model/serial numbers and hour readings.
• Obtain customer signatures and communicate repair needs.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate parts and test drive repaired trucks.
• Represent Equipment Depot professionally and maintain van cleanliness.
• Track service schedules with operations or service manager.
• Submit time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily.
