Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks a manufacturing assembler to safely assemble equipment using detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. The role involves wiring, hydraulics, and the installation of various accessories across JLG/Jerr-Dan products.

You will operate hand and power tools, measure precisely, and follow Standard Work Instructions while maintaining a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, torque guns) with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
