Job summary

Rhodes Wolfe is seeking an Engineering Project Manager near Portland, ME to own projects from concept and design through installation, commissioning, and final turnover. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, automation, fabrication, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams across regulated industries, combining technical problem-solving with customer interaction.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years in project management/engineering environment.
• Experience with industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from kickoff through design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and turnover.
• Serve as primary customer contact, understanding project needs, providing updates, and driving successful project delivery.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, automation, fabrication, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects moving forward.
• Review P&IDs, equipment layouts, drawings, and engineered solutions with customers and internal teams.
• Partner with controls and automation engineers on process controls and system integration.
• Monitor progress, flag potential challenges, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Lead customer and internal project meetings and build strong client relationships.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing competing deadlines.
• Communicate effectively across customers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
