Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manager, Industrial Engineering to lead the team responsible for scoping, standing up, and optimizing manufacturing operations ensuring quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization. The role requires ownership of strategic initiatives and operational challenges in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment.

The ideal candidate will partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations to drive continuous improvement and on-time deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years managing/leading industrial engineering teams.
• 7+ years experience in industrial engineering roles, preferably in a high-growth environment.
• Proven track record of leading teams, developing new manufacturing lines, and cradle-to-grave ownership.
• Experience driving production scaling efforts in manufacturing.
• World-class mission assurance, quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
• Genuine interest in manufacturing and a thirst for learning.
• Excellent project management skills and experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving capabilities, especially in ambiguity.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills across organizational levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the industrial engineering team, setting goals and directing performance from prototyping to large-scale production.
• Develop and execute strategic concepts for new manufacturing facilities and key trade-offs.
• Design and optimize production lines and workstations for low rate and full-rate production using data-driven methods.
• Set objectives for manufacturing improvements to reduce cost, improve quality, and maximize throughput.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations to resolve bottlenecks.
• Ensure safety, environmental, ergonomic, regulatory, and quality standards compliance.
• Create capacity plans, balanced layouts, CapEx plans, staffing, and time standards.
• Bridge execution and long-term strategy across product lines and markets.
• Establish training and documentation programs to upskill the team.
• Foster innovation, teamwork, and accountability in the IE department.
• Act as the technical expert and point of contact for IE issues.
