Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is offering a summer internship across DTNA locations, including Detroit, MI, focusing on transmission, axle production, and Lean initiatives. Interns will support process improvements, work with supervisors and teams, and learn through real-life production challenges.

Interns may transition to full-time based on performance and business needs, with salary placement between $21 and $29 per hour and a range of professional development benefits and stipends.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or recent graduate in an engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm cycle time and utilization for production jobs.
• Optimize manpower utilization in production.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve production processes.
• Participate in problem-solving discussions to identify root causes of systemic issues.
