Job summary
Textron Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, PA is seeking a 2027 Intern - Industrial Engineer to support productivity improvements in Manufacturing. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals on real projects, learn time standards, cost analysis, and visual factory updates, and contribute to cost savings and performance reporting.
The internship emphasizes mentorship, training, and hands-on work with opportunities to develop CAD and GD&T knowledge while building essential engineering skills
Qualifications
- Student must be enrolled in a college degree or certification program.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of blueprints including GD&T.
- Knowledge of CAD.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Learn to summarize issues affecting manufacturing activity for the Production supervisor.
- Learn to develop crew load and shop load plans and reports.
- Learn to estimate time value or standard in electronic systems.
- Learn to provide schedule variance figures to manufacturing and assist in weekly performance reports explanations.
- Learn to implement cost reduction ideas (method improvements).
- Learn to provide weekly activity reports.
- Ensure visual factory information is current.
- Time standards applications.
