Job summary

General Motors is seeking Industrial Engineer Co-ops to perform hands-on work that could directly impact our manufacturing operations and culture. You would be responsible for analyzing the efficiency of manufacturing operations and changes related to personnel, material, machines, and facilities.

Work involves leadership ability, critical thinking, and communication skills. Onsite roles at GM locations including Flint, MI; Rochester, NY; Tonawanda, NY with relocation support options.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2030.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Willing to work in a plant environment.
• Must be enrolled in a co-op program through Kettering University or Rochester Institute of Technology.

Responsibilities

• Confirms or recommends changes to layouts, labor control and/or material control
• Frequent contact with others outside the work group
• Assists in developing accurate methods and optimum operation layout
• Makes operation descriptions and performs the vital calculations to complete studies and change routines or other systems of labor and material control
