Job summary

Korpack is expanding and seeking an Industrial Engineer to redesign material flow, balance lines, and map waste to efficient layouts across two facilities in the Chicago suburbs area. You will lead automation opportunities, justify improvements, and implement changes that pay back in real dollars.

You’ll document standards inside the ERP, partner with Distribution & Supply Chain, and tackle hands-on time studies, line balancing, and changeover analysis to help scale the operation as it grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in engineering for manufacturing.
• Experience with automation projects: scoping, justification, implementation, validation.
• Track record of throughput improvements in real production environments.
• Experience redesigning material flow and layouts, move frequency, touch reduction.
• Strong data skills: build analyses in Excel; Power BI and ERP data a plus.
• Manufacturing or packaging environment experience; food/CPG/contract packaging a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead material flow and warehouse design projects across two facilities.
• Develop and implement line balancing, changeover reductions, and layout standards.
• Turn tribal knowledge into documented standards inside the ERP for scalable learning.
• Collaborate with Distribution & Supply Chain on projects crossing paths with material flow.
