Korpack is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Illinois to optimize material flow and layouts as we add 150,000 square feet of operating space. You will improve throughput, balance lines, and analyze changeovers to design efficient production layouts.
You’ll partner with Manufacturing Operations and Distribution teams, conduct time studies, and document standards inside our ERP so processes scale as the footprint grows. A strong data mindset is essential.
Our mission is clear: to be North America’s premier packaging solutions provider, simplifying client operations with innovative, technology-driven solutions. We are fueled by the values instilled by Nick Novy, aiming to not just meet but exceed industry benchmarks. Our purpose is to empower our customers with smarter business decisions through our expertise.
Korpack stands for more than just speed. Our F.A.S.T methodology – Fearless, Adaptable, Simplistic, and Technology-driven – is a testament to our approach toward complex challenges. We’re not afraid to dive deep and tackle the toughest packaging puzzles with agility and clarity, all while harnessing the power of technology.
In the heart of Korpack, there’s a culture that thrives on agility, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence. We’re not your typical packaging company. Our start-up spirit combined with our industry experience makes us uniquely dynamic. We embrace challenges, turning them into opportunities to innovate and grow. Our team, akin to a close-knit family, is dedicated to achieving success for our clients. We believe in building relationships based on trust, integrity, and mutual respect.
Korpack is a food-grade, SQF-certified contract packaging company that has landed on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies three times in the last six years — and we’re not slowing down. We’re in the middle of adding roughly 150,000 square feet of operating space, which means we don’t just have inefficiencies to fix. We have an entire footprint to design right the first time.
That’s where you come in. We’re looking for an Industrial Engineer who physically cannot walk past waste without wanting to kill it. Someone who sees a forklift making the same trip four times and starts sketching a better layout in their head. Someone who looks at a production line and sees not what it runs today, but what it should run.
You’ll report to our Director of Manufacturing Operations and become the engineering brain behind how product, people, and materials move through our buildings. You’ll also partner with our Distribution & Supply Chain team on projects where material flow and warehouse design cross paths — because at Korpack, the walls between departments are lower than the racking.
Early on, you’ll get your hands dirty: time studies, line balancing, changeover analysis, material move mapping. From there, you’ll take on the projects that move the needle — automation opportunities, throughput improvements, and layout design for our expansion. You’ll turn tribal knowledge into documented standards inside our ERP, so what we learn scales with us instead of walking out the door at 3:30.
We’ll be straight with you: this is not a role where you’ll optimize a mature, stable operation from a desk. We’re growing fast, our product mix changes constantly, and some of the systems and standards you’ll need don’t exist yet — you’ll be building them. You’ll juggle multiple projects across two facilities, and priorities will shift as our customers’ needs shift. If you need everything defined before you can move, this isn’t your seat. If a blank canvas and a fast pace sound like fun, keep reading.
You’ll join a company that has earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 three times in six years — and growth like that creates opportunity. We promote from within, we build seats around people who prove they can own them, and the org chart a year from now will have boxes on it that don't exist today. Your projects won’t disappear into a committee; they’ll be visible to leadership, measured in real dollars, and celebrated when they win. And you’ll get something most industrial engineers wait a career for: 150,000 square feet of new space to help design from scratch.
If you're a builder who wants your fingerprints on how a fast-growing company runs — not just a maintainer of someone else’s system — we want to meet you.
Speed. Technology. Trust.
