Job summary

Penguin Random House in Westminster, MD is seeking a driven Operations Analyst to join our Operations Services team. The role combines data analysis, project management, and process improvement within distribution operations.

You will build analyses in Excel, contribute to time studies and workflow improvements, and support automation and material handling initiatives across the network. We seek candidates with strong analytical skills, collaboration across functions, and comfort working onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in industrial engineering, supply chain operations, or a related technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with complex formulas
• Excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing conditions
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions and levels of the organization

Responsibilities

• This role combines analysis, project management, and process improvement in support of distribution operations.
• You will evaluate existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help develop new approaches that support operational growth and efficiency.
• The role also requires a candidate to be comfortable working with data, building analyses in Excel, and communicating findings clearly to a range of audiences.
