Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an Industrial Engineer for its Council Bluffs, IA operations. You will join the Operational Excellence team to optimize processes, improve throughput, and drive cost efficiency across production lines.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, collaboration with Maintenance, IT, and Operations, and delivering measurable improvements through structured project charters, ROI analyses, and ongoing performance tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Administration or equivalent.
• Six Sigma, Lean, and PMP certifications are considered a competitive advantage.
• Proven experience in Industrial Engineering, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Design and optimize workflows, material handling systems, equipment layouts, and production cell configurations to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
• Lead cross functional improvement projects from concept through implementation and stabilization.
• Build KPIs related to OEE, waste, labor productivity, throughput, and cost; report results clearly to leadership.
