Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids facility is hiring an Operations Engineering Technician to support the operation, sustainment, and improvement of engineering laboratory equipment used for training, development, and validation of manufacturing technologies.

This onsite role involves hands-on equipment support, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation under moderate supervision, with up to 25% travel to support connected assets and factory deployments.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel (could be up to 25%)

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Equipment Support: Sustain engineering lab equipment, work cells, training systems.
• Engineering Support: Assist engineers with equipment development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Connected Assets Support: Install industrial networking hardware and edge devices, validate communications.
• Documentation: Update wiring diagrams, network layouts, and configuration documents.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and safety.
