Job summary

RTX, via Collins Aerospace, is seeking a manufacturing engineer to support sensor production in the IRS & VCS portfolios. This onsite role partners with production, quality, and design teams to improve processes, documentation, and equipment effectiveness.

A STEM degree and CAD/ERP experience are required; located at Burnsville, MN for a U.S.-based opportunity. The position emphasizes collaboration, constant learning, and applying manufacturing techniques to drive quality and cost improvements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related STEM major by start date.
Experience in an engineering field and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Experience using CAD software (CREO preferred); on-the-job learning acceptable.

Responsibilities

Serves as technical liaison to production, providing support to operators and technicians with technical advice.
Collaborates daily with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineers to solve production issues in a high mix, low volume environment.
Proficient with SAP, Creo, and Teamcenter for production and design data management.
Identifies common defects and mitigations for assigned processes and products.
Maintains and updates manufacturing procedures and routings.
Supports development of new products and processes and aims to reduce scrap, rework, and cost.
Uses data analytics/SPC to drive productivity, OEE, and First Pass Yield improvements.
